Happy Weekend!

I'm excited to be heading out tomorrow morning for a little weekend getaway with my husband for our 8 year anniversary of being together.  It will be the first weekend in awhile in which I'll truly be taking two full days off (no laptop to sneak in an hour of work here and there). We'll be touring the Hearst Castle and exploring the nearby surroundings.  From what I hear, it's absolutely beautiful.  I'll probably be instagramming a few photos in case you want to follow me along!

Have a great one!

Dog Beach

arianna-belle-on-instagramThere's a lovely off-leash dog beach in Santa Barbara where we take Little Foot and my sister's dog Roofus at least once every summer.  We drove up there this Saturday, and while as we were headed over, it seemed like it would be overcast and a bit on the chillier side, once we got there it was clear skies and perfect weather.  The pups soaked in the sun and excitedly ran their little hearts out with paws in the sand.  Seeing them so happy makes me happy. Hopefully we'll get a chance to go at least once more this summer.

Happy Friday!

We're having summer-like temperatures over here so might take advantage and go out to the dog beach with the pup. That is, if the weird feeling I have in my throat and left ear right now doesn't turn out to be a cold or ear infection.

Off to get some rest. Have a great weekend all!

Outdoor Living

Yesterday we took advantage of the beautiful sunny weather and had a backyard bbq to celebrate two things: my dad's birthday, and my sister's (and her now officially husband!) court marriage (the big wedding is next Saturday).

We had so much yummy food - shrimp, chicken, grilled veggies and corn, pasta salad, frijoles, carne asada, pico de gallo... not to mention dessert! I took a stab at making a rainbow cake. Check out my twitter page to take look at how it turned out!
Looking forward to many more summer days spent outside :)
Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday!

Tomorrow is my little sister's bridal shower. She gets married in 3 weeks! I can't believe the big day is so quickly approaching! We are all very excited and prepping all the decor and other little details for the ceremony and reception, as well as finalizing decisions on wedding hairstyles, makeup, accessories, etc. Needless to say, it's bridal central over here.
Have a great weekend! See ya next week!

P.S. Check out this cool blog featuring pictures of a picture from the past in the present. A photograph like that could make a cool Father's Day gift :)

I'm happily enjoying a lazy Sunday morning, about to head over to the kitchen to make brunch :) How's your weekend so far? Can you believe it's only a few days til Thanksgiving?

Happy Friday!

One of my besties recently got engaged to her long time boyfriend and I couldn't be more thrilled for her! With the wedding date set for May 2011, the wedding planning is kicking into high gear and this weekend I'm so excited to be joining her for a little wedding dress shopping!

Happy Weekend!

Sorry for the absence Thursday and Friday. I was a busy busy bee and unfortunately didn't have much time for blogging. Anyways happy it's the weekend and have some leisurely moments now. I finally had a chance to sit down and enjoy the premiere issue of Rue this morning. As expected it was filled with stylish inspiration galore. My favorite home tour was Crystal's simple yet glamorous bachelorette pad.

Her home is a perfect example of the fact that you don't have to have tons of money to achieve a chic, beautifully put together decor. Several of her pieces were from Ikea and local thrift shops. What was your favorite home tour? If you haven't checked out the magazine yet -click on over!
