Happy Weekend!

I'm excited to be heading out tomorrow morning for a little weekend getaway with my husband for our 8 year anniversary of being together.  It will be the first weekend in awhile in which I'll truly be taking two full days off (no laptop to sneak in an hour of work here and there). We'll be touring the Hearst Castle and exploring the nearby surroundings.  From what I hear, it's absolutely beautiful.  I'll probably be instagramming a few photos in case you want to follow me along!

Fall

Although we're bound to continue to have days of summer-like weather over here in California, I'm happy that it's officially fall and soon enough the air will get crisper and the leaves will turn. Looking forward to cozying up with warm drinks, indulging in everything pumpkin and apple, and pulling out the scarves, sweaters and boots. What do you love best about fall?

Dog Beach

There's a lovely off-leash dog beach in Santa Barbara where we take Little Foot and my sister's dog Roofus at least once every summer.  We drove up there this Saturday, and while as we were headed over, it seemed like it would be overcast and a bit on the chillier side, once we got there it was clear skies and perfect weather.  The pups soaked in the sun and excitedly ran their little hearts out with paws in the sand.  Seeing them so happy makes me happy. Hopefully we'll get a chance to go at least once more this summer.

Can you believe this will be the last weekend of October? I can't either.

Happy Friday!

It's been a busy week and I'm ready to unwind. Tomorrow we're headed north for a little impromptu weekend camping trip. Looking forward to breathing the fresh air, hiking in the green trails, visting the spot at the lake where we got engaged, relaxing on a hammock, admiring the starry sky at night, and enjoying yummy smores and hot chocolate by the fire.

Matchbook Magazine!

Have you read it yet? If you haven't heard, it's the newest online lifestyle magazine that just went live last night, created by bloggers Katie Armour and Jane Lilly Warren.
