A Glamorous Dressing Room

Absolutely loving this beautifully organized dressing room from the home of Rita Hazan:

Shoes are neatly arranged on white open shelves (from Ikea!) and beauty essentials are on a glamorous mirrored vanity

Such much goodness here - the big window with floor to ceiling drapes, the tufted daybead, the unique gold wall studs, the brass glass pendant...

Stylish Workspace: Tara Guerard Soiree

It's no surprise that a stylish event planning company like Tara Guerard Soiree, who regularly puts together magazine worthy weddings, has equally magazine worthy offices. Check out the photos below of their clean, tailored and bright workspace:

Sets of matching boxes and binders on custom floor to ceiling shelving provide plenty of storage and help maintain a clean uncluttered look.

An bulletin board above Tara's desk serves as a catchall for photos that inspire ideas.

Large windows flood the conference space with natural sunlight

The tall spacious white table in the central workspace provides a perfect morning meeting spot for the team.

Definitely saving this as inspiration for when my I (hopefully!) have a larger company office space!

A Beautifully Organized Creative Workspace

In love with this creative workspace from the home of Darcy Miller, illustrator and editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings. It's the chicest craft room I ever did see! It's not only fully stocked with all the supplies you could ever need for any creative project, but it's also beautifully organized.  Everything has a home designated based on frequency of use, so things are accessible and easy to find. With the exception of the art supplies which bring a cheerful rainbow array of color to the space, most everything (the walls, floor, ceiling, furniture, and storage containers) is black, white, and gray. This creates a uniform look and keeps the room from feeling chaotic or overwhelming.

Hanging Pot Rack in a Small Kitchen

Last week I did a post on hanging pot racks, which featured mostly large kitchens.  This kitchen below shows how a hanging pot rack can be integrated into smaller quarters:

It works here because there's free wall space, as in the pots aren't blocking any cabinet doors.  They do look quite high up there though, so I'm guessing the homeowner keeps a step stool handy :)

Organized Drawers - Clear Dividers

instyle-organizeddrawer

When it comes to organizing drawers, dividers are key for keeping like items together and neatly contained {so they don't spill over}. My favorite are clear organizer sets, like this one, this one, and this one, that can be arranged whichever way fit best in the drawer. Since they're transparent, they're also great for showing off a pretty drawer liner.

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week

This week's beautifully organized space of the week is this closet from the home of Erica Cook of Moth Design, which houses her daily staples:
mothdesign-closet.jpg
White Ikea frames showcase bags from some of her favorite trips and create a fun little feature wall.
mothdesign-closet5.jpg
A round white tray keeps all her perfumes organized and at the ready.
mothdesign-closet6.jpg
Clear Ikea Rationell Variera "spice racks" serve as drawer separators and keep her belts and scarves organized.
*Unfortunately the clear "spice racks" are a discontinued product (at least to my knowledge). I bought several to organize a variety of things in my own home several months ago and absolutely loved them. When I tried to go back for more, they were no longer in stock and was told by an Ikea employee that they had been discontinued :-(

Glass trays and other beautiful containers hold jewelry, watches and sunglasses. An Ikea pant rack keeps her jeans easily accessible and allows her to see exactly what she has.

So chic, wouldn't you agree?

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week

This week's beautifully organized space is from the glamorous boudoir of Alison Rubke, co-owner of the luxury lingerie boutique Faire Frou Frou.

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week

This week's beautifully organized space is from the home of fellow blogger Jen over at Organized Design.

Jen keeps everything in her Expedit bookcase contained, organized, and looking great by using matching labeled binders, magazine files, and white boxes she customized with gray stripes by using painter's tape and craft paint.

By the way, check out this fabulous quatrefoil lamp she also customized using paint! Head on over to her blog to read about how she did it.

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week

This week's beautifully organized space is this closet from the home of fellow blogger Freckles Chic:

Isn't it lovely? She created it by donating all the things she no longer wanted and were just cluttering up the space, and by designating a place for everything that remained. Total cost of the transformation was about $100 (for hangers, clips, shelves, storage containers, a hat stand, and headband holder). Proof that you don't need a ton of space or money to create a beautiful closet!
For the before pictures and a breakdown of the items she used for the space, be sure to check out her blog!

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week

This week's beautifully organized space is from the home of interior designer Amy Meier. Since she and her husband eat most of their meals on their patio dining table, Amy used the "dining area" of her small apartment to create a fully functioning office for her design business.

A large Ikea bookcase provides easy access to fabric samples and papers carefully organized into a mix of woven and wire baskets, bins, and fabric covered binders. A magnet board next to her metal desk serves as a place for Amy to post pictures and paint and fabric samples that inspire her projects.

A trio of white shelves and a three pocket file holder take advantage of wall space and provide a place to hold a multitude of items including fabric covered albums, leather boxes, and sketchbooks.
